This was our first time here and what a great little spot. The service was excellent (Rochen) and the food was incredible. Tons of food! Lots of menu items to choose from. We started out with bacon cheese rice balls as an appetizer. I had the chicken bacon carbonara pasta, my husband had lamb souvlaki. We finished off with a wonderful carrot cake for dessert. We will be back for sure!!
Have had take out and dine in and both times food was amazing! It has a large menu and the portions are large as well. Braised short rib is delicious. Will definitely be back.
My friend and I were at the Waterbed Gallery in Elmvale and were looking for a place to have lunch. I had done my research ahead of time so was happy to hear from the owner of the Waterbed Gallery that Rumi's would be the best option for us. It was mid-afternoon and the restaurant was empty except for the gentleman working there. He welcomed us and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. We were presented with menus (so many choices!) and we both ordered coffee and a glass of water. I'll be honest, it took us a while to decide as everything looked amazing. We both ordered French onion soup, shared three slices of garlic bread, and a delicious fresly made greek salad. The portions were very generous and absolutely delicious! Rumi checked in on us a few times to ensure thst everything was as it should be. He was very pleasant, and we were treated very well. We were both full, but decided to share a dessert... again, absolutely the best dessert I've had. It was a large portion and once again we were going to bring some home as now we were completely full. Regardless of how full i was i decided to take home a pasta dish (it ended up being three meals as the portions were enough to feed a family!) I highly recommend Rumi's restaurant and plan on stopping in to this hidden gem every time I go to Elmvale!
Our experience at Rumis resto and chocolate bar was AMAZING!!! They were committed to great service and incredibly friendly! The quality of the food was top tier, and the atmosphere was perfect. Most importantly the food was delicious, affordable & worth every single penny! We ordered the chicken souvlaki with Greek salad (Greek salad was the best I ever had), jambalaya, calamari rings, wings & French fries and every meal was cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavour! Definitely coming back here regularly, I can’t wait to try out more items on the menu!
I belong to a ladies monthly lunch group in Midland, Ontario. Today we met at Rumi's in Elmvale It's not a fancy pants place. We had pre-selected our lunches in advance. 18 of us. The gentleman was all business, a bit hard to understand, he spoke incredibly fast with an accent, but we took in stride & worked with him to get the right plates to the right person. Yes there was a wait to cover off everyone. The food itself. The presentation of the wraps. The colourful salads were amazing. Such a smile when we could finally stop him & tell him how much we loved our lunches. I'd absolutely go back.
Delicious food and friendly service make this a great place for lunch with friends. The menu has lots of options to try. I ordered the Rueben sandwich which was excellent. I'm looking forward to trying other items on my future visits!

We had takeout for the first time here last night and it was so good! The food was ready exactly when they said it would be, it was hot and the portions were huge. Very happy with our experience.
